Description:
A randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled clinical trail of structured opioid discontinuation versus continued opioid therapy in suboptimal and optimal responders to high-dose, long-term opioid analgesic therapy for chronic pain.

Pre-qualification requires current treatment for chronic low back pain with either Morphine Sulfate ER, Oxycodone ER or Oxymorphone ER. Participants must be currently taking one of the above medications twice daily for at least 3 months prior to study entry.
